Outsmart the IB
In 1968, the International Baccalaureate (IB) was established as a non-profit educational foundation in Geneva, Switzerland, with the goal of developing inquiring, knowledgeable, and caring young people who would go on to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. What started off as a single program for overseas students preparing for college has expanded into a series of programs for students up to the age of 19.
Dr Anil Khare, IB Mentor and Ivy League Specialist in Dubai, is pleased to offer a brand-new book titled “Outsmart the IB” on IB curriculum review for both parents and students. Dr Khare begins the book with what the curriculum consists of and how choosing IB over other curriculum is a smart choice. The book is also designed to act as an exam preparation guide along with the essentials of IB PYP, MYP and especially DP being discussed. The content of the book is based on the subject groups, published by the International Baccalaureate. It covers all topics including MYP Personal Project, Theory of Knowledge, Extended Essay and CAS. It also helps understand the way exams are conducted along with the importance of mark scheme.
Dr Khare also suggests study tips and exam strategies that will benefit in your learning and talk about topics that could be utilized while narrowing down lines of inquiry for different subjects. He emphasizes on time management and provides ways to cope with the curriculum-induced stress. The book also highlights the basic university admission guidelines for students’ study abroad aspirations.
